Integrating Web Author with Perforce Helix

The Oxygen XML Web Author includes a plugin that provides the ability to integrate Web Author with a Perforce Helix version control system. It provides an interface for browsing the files in Perforce depots, opening the files in the editor, and submitting changes.

Configuring the Perforce Plugin

  1. Go to your Administration Page.
  2. Select Plugins.

  3. Click the Configure icon next to the Perforce plugin to open the Plugin configuration dialog box.

  4. Enter the Server address and Server port. The Backup interval (sec) setting is optional and it can be used to configure the time interval for how often documents will automatically be backed up. Leave this field blank if you do not want documents to be backed up automatically.
  5. Click Apply.
  6. Restart Oxygen XML Web Author.
Note: To use the Perforce plugin with an SSL certificate, you need to set a system property called p4.ssl:
