DITA to CHM Transformation Fails - Compilation Failed
Problem
The DITA to CHM transformation fails with the following error: [exec] HHC5003:
Error: Compilation failed while compiling fileName.
Cause 1
One possible cause for this error is that the processed file does not exist.
Solution 1
To solve this issue, fix the file reference before executing the transformation scenario again.
Cause 2
Another possible cause for this error is that the processed file has a name that contains space characters.
Solution 2
To solve the issue, remove any spacing from the file name and run the transformation scenario again.
Tip: It is a good practice to validate the DITA map before executing the transformation scenario. To do
so, run the
Validate and Check for Completeness action.
Depending on the selected options, it will report detected errors, such as topics
referenced in other topics (but not in the DITA map), broken links, and
missing external resources.
