Customizing DITA Profiling Attributes
To edit (add, delete, modify) the profiling attributes in Oxygen XML Web Author,
follow these steps:
- First, you must use the current project or create a new project in Oxygen XML Editor.
- Open Project Options option checked. . At the bottom of this preferences page, make sure you have the
- Create or edit your profiling attributes.
- Once you are satisfied with the changes made, confirm to apply
them.
Step Result: These preferences are saved in the project file (with the .xpr extension).
- Open the project file (*.xpr) with a text
editor and copy the portion within this
block:
and paste it into the option.xml file in Web Author.<serialized xml:space="preserve"> ... ... </serialized>
- Restart Web Author.
Result: When you access the Edit Profiling Attributes option from the Contextual Menu (in Web Author), you will be able to see the list of profiling attributes that you have created/edited in the resulting dialog box.
- Optionally, you can apply profiling-specific styles for the added profiling attributes. The elements that contain default profiling attributes are rendered with a green border and are faded when the profiling conditions exclude those elements. To have those styles on other attributes, edit the dita\css\webauthor\profiling.less file and add your attributes to the list of profiling attributes, compile it, and add it to the DITA framework.
