Resetting Admin Credentials

To reset the admin user credentials that are used to access the Administration Page in Oxygen XML Web Author, follow these steps:

1. Delete the shiro-users.ini file located in the Oxygen Data Directory.
2. Restart Oxygen XML Web Author.
3. In your browser, go to the Oxygen XML Web Author Dashboard page (for example, http://example.com:8080/oxygen-webapp/app/oxygen.html or the Admininstration Page (for example, http://example.com:8080/oxygen-webapp/app/admin.html) and you will be redirected to a configuration page.
4. You need an initial password to set up the administrator account. It can be defined before starting the server by adding the OXYGEN_ADMIN_SETUP_PASSWORD environmental variable or by passing the oxygen.admin.setup.password system property. Otherwise, a password is randomly generated and can be found in the server logs.
5. Enter the initial password and the credentials that will be used to access the Administration Page.
